A trade passed down. A name that stuck.
I started cleaning windows in middle school when my uncle taught me the trade. I kept at it, loved the work and never really stopped. Years later, I taught my son those same skills.
“John, I’m not peculiar, I’m persnickety.”
That was something my grandfather used to tell me. He was meticulous, organized and particular about doing things the right way. When it was time to name the business, Persnickety fit perfectly. It represents the way I was taught to work: pay attention to the details, take pride in the job and leave things better than you found them.
